Michele Gibson

Director of Finance

Michele Gibson is the Director of Finance for the REMADE Institute, where she is responsible for managing the Institute’s financial resources, economic growth, and project funding commitments.

Michele has more than 30 years of professional experience, including more than 15 years in executive leadership roles in higher education. Before joining REMADE, Michele was a member of the president’s senior staff at Union College as Vice President of Administration and Finance where she oversaw Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Environmental Health and Safety, Bookstore and Mail Room. Prior to that, she served as the Senior Associate Dean of Administration and Finance at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music. In this role, she led the administrative team in a $50 million project to renovate and build new performing arts space and was project manager on several major capital projects. She has been actively engaged in the City of Rochester’s cultural district having served as the treasurer and an executive committee board member for the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC).
